PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
2-Ethylhexyl thioglycolate (2-EHTG) is a high-purity, branched thiol ester used primarily as a chain transfer agent (CTA) in the polymerization of acrylates, methacrylates, and other monomers. It is highly effective in controlling molecular weight and branching during radical polymerizations, particularly in the production of PMMA and other specialty polymers.
IT IS APPLIED IN THE PRODUCTION OF
- PMMA sheets and optical grade polymers.
- Viscosity-controlled emulsions.
- Pressure-sensitive adhesives.
- Thermoplastics with tailored mechanical properties.
- Highly efficient chain transfer agent.
- Provides control over polymer molecular weight.
- Reduces gel content in polymer resins.
- Offers good solubility in a variety of monomers.
